Rihanna clearly has "Love on the Brain," but does that mean she's married?
On May 5, the "Umbrella" singer took to Twitter to share some photos of her latest Met Gala appearance. However, it was her caption that raised a few eyebrows.
Alongside images of herself and partner A$AP Rocky walking the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the pregnant artist wrote, "shout outz 2 the bridal party….here come de bride #idoKARL #METgala2023."
Of course, this prompted fans to inquire if the hit maker was confirming the recent fan speculation that she and her rapper beau—who she shares an 11-month son with—were actually man and wife or, at least, engaged.
One fan commented, "Is this your official marriage announcement?? Cause it's kind of not giving."
Another chimed in, "Sis. Stop soft launching your marriage and release the photos of the real wedding."
Nonetheless, RiRi may've just been having a bit of fun online, especially after fans were so vocal that her all-white ensemble at the 2023 Met Gala looked like a bridal dress.
"I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think this is a nod to Rihanna and ASAP getting married," one fan asserted following fashion's biggest night on May 1. "She's late and she's the last to arrive and she's in a wedding dress."
Another weighed in, "I have a feeling Rihanna is married #MetGala."
Despite being two of the biggest artists in the world, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have kept a relatively low profile. They welcomed their first child in May 2022 and are set to welcome baby No. 2 later this year.
Rihanna confirmed her second pregnancy after she debuted her baby bump during her halftime performance at Super Bowl LVII.
