Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston will be starring alongside each other in an upcoming body-swap comedy film.

The new film — pitched last week by director Max Barbakow — was acquired by Amazon Studios after an auction with four other studios and streamers, as reported by Deadline on Sunday.

The unnamed but highly-anticipated movie will feature the Eat, Pray, Love star, 55, and the Friends alumna, 53 — whose latest project Murder Mystery 2 is set to release in March — in the leading roles.

The film will be written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Max Barbakow, who penned the 2020 sci-fi rom-com Palm Springs.

Barbakow and LuckyChap Entertainment — a production label by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara — will produce the film alongside Roberts' Red Om Films and Aniston's Echo Films banners.

Ever since the box office success of Ticket To Paradise starring Roberts and George Clooney, many studios have been bidding for another guaranteed success film starring two screen icons.

The three-time Golden Globe winner played Georgia Cotton, ex-wife to Clooney's David Cotton, who join forces to stop their daughter's wedding.

According to the synopsis, they attempt to sabotage their daughter's marriage to a seaweed farmer and rekindle old feelings in the process.

The film crossed $170 million at the box office globally.

Recently, Aniston had been working on her upcoming film Murder Mystery 2.

The action-packed sequel to the same name debut film is set to release in March. 

In Murder Mystery 2, Aniston reprises her role of Audrey Spitz while Adam Sandler plays her husband, Nick Spitz.

The synopsis tells the story of full-time detectives who are struggling with their private eye agency.

While doing so, they must save their friend Maharaja, who is abducted at his wedding.

Production on the film wrapped in April of last year. 

The sequel was announced in September 2021 — two years after the first entry debuted — and will be released on March 31.
