Jennifer Aniston graced The Ellen Degeneres Show for promotion of her film Murder Mystery. However, things got hot and heavy pretty quickly, when the actress and the host engaged in a steamy kiss.

The whole scenario started when Aniston asked Ellen Degeneres about her on-air kiss with actor Howard Stern. She asked,

"When was the last time you kissed a guy?"

Ellen Degeneres replied,

"Why is everyone so shocked? I kiss guys, I kiss guys like that, I don't make out with guys, but I kiss guys on the lips. When was the last time you kissed a girl on the lips?"

Aniston was quick to reply,

"I don't kiss girls on the lips, no."

Degeneres leaned in and kissed her on the lips. The audience was surprised by the action, and they cheered for the kiss. 

Aniston surprisingly told her,

"You have very soft lips."

The host said,

"So do you, that's why I do what I do."

The audience was left in splits on hearing her answer. The news of the kiss went viral on social media. Some fans were happy to see the kiss while others were not so pleased.

There were lots of comments on social media as the video went viral on social media. One fan asked Degeneres if her wife Portia knew about the kiss. Portia de Rossi and Degeneres tied the knot in 2008.

Actress Heather Dubrow wrote,

Some reactions to the kiss involved the George W. Bush controversy.
