And Rihanna was visibly thrilled following the smash success of her sportswear line, flashing a big grin as she headed on to Up & Down club in New York City to celebrate.

The 27-year-old superstar, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, changed up her look by donning black separates that revealed a peek of her toned tum.

Looking uncharacteristically demure, Rihanna kept her figure covered up in the sleeveless top and asymmetrical sportswear skirt.

The Work hit-maker completed her athletic look with a pair of trainers and upped the glamour with a ladylike patterned scarf.

Fresh from the runway, she added a sleek, chin-length bob and set off the outfit with a slick of bright red lipstick.

Rihanna, who was joined by the likes of Scott Disick, Tyga and Kylie Jenner at the club, appeared to be having a whale of a time, beaming from ear-to-ear.

The singer enlisted the help of model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid to launch her new collection at the runway show, held at 23 Wall Morgan House.

As befitting a collection for Puma, it of course featured trainers, many with high stacked platforms.

In an interview before the show, which was staged in a dark, mirrored, forest-like setting filled with stage smoke, Rihanna spoke about what motivates her to design.

'I think design is a part of being creative,' she told The Associated Press. 'I enjoy creating and expressing the crazy things going on in my mind through something that people can see and that is tangible. That is the best part, being able to express yourself.

'Fashion to me was just one of those things that came naturally,' she said.

'I enjoy discovering it - all the different styles, finishes, fabrics, silhouettes. It's not easy, but it doesn't feel like work.'
