Former The Big Bang Theory co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch come together to recreate the adorable Blossom opening scene. More than four years after The Big Bang Theory wrapped up, the primary cast of the CBS sitcom has gone on to do other projects, including Rauch on Night Court. Occasionally, however, The Big Bang Theory fans are treated with special reunions, including this latest between Bialik and Rauch.
In a new Instagram post, Bialik shares a video of her and Rauch recreating the iconic Blossom opening sequence. Check out the video below:
In the reunion post, Bialik says, "Amy Farrah Fowler & Bernadette Rostenkowski reunite for MBB." She shares her excitement for her reunion with her co-star, announcing that Rauch will appear on the upcoming podcast episode of Bialik Breakdown to discuss their favorite moments on the comedy.
When The Big Bang Theory started in 2007, it only had five primary characters — Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Howard, and Raj. By season 4, CBS expanded the cast, adding Rauch's Bernadette and Bialik's Amy. Since then, they became an integral part of the nerd-centric sitcom, not only as love interests to Howard and Sheldon but as fully-fleshed players.
Since its end, there have been instances where some cast members cross paths again, but the full cast has not been seen together. Given the continued popularity of the CBS comedy, there's continued hope that The Big Bang Theory full ensemble will have a reunion. Furthermore, several actors from the show have expressed their desire to do a similar reunion to the HBO Max Friends special, although they aren't keen on doing a revival.
At this point, only time will tell if a The Big Bang Theory reunionhappens. Because of the show's success in streaming and re-runs, there is no doubt that platforms will be excited to make this a reality. If it actually comes to fruition, however, chances are that it won't be in the near future, considering it will be difficult to coordinate everyone's busy schedules.
