Young Sheldon executive producer Steve Holland comments on the possible appearance of the full The Big Bang Theory cast in the spin-off. Despite its continued popularity, talks about ending Young Sheldon after season 7 has started. In light of this, preparations are being made in case the offshoot does wrap things up soon.

Narrative questions about how Young Sheldon's final year may go down are expected, given how season 6 is shaping up. But, in terms of cameos, there are queries about the possibility of the full The Big Bang Theory main cast making an appearance before the prequel ends. Holland addressed this in Jessica Radloff's book, The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story Of The Epic Hit Series, and it isn't surprising to learn that the surrounding situation is more complicated than perceived.

You never say never. It would be exciting. I would love to be around them all again, but I don't want to take anything away from the magnificent cast of Young Sheldon by leaning on the Big Bang cast. That show and those actors have earned their mark, and while it would be a very fun nostalgia play, I don't think it would be fair to them or the show.

How The Big Bang Theory Cast Can Appear In Young Sheldon

Four of the original seven Pasadena gang members have been already been involved in Young Sheldon at this point.

Adult Sheldon narrates the show, while both Amy and Howard have made voice-over cameos. Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco, albeit uncredited, voiced "water" back in Young Sheldon season 3.

Considering Young Sheldon's prequel nature, CBS needs to be a bit more creative if it wants to make a reunion happen. Positively, they have done something similar in the past with The Big Bang Theory's Young Sheldon crossover, and later, the prequel's tribute to its parent series' finale. An easy way to do it is to reveal Adult Sheldon in the future, surrounded by his friends in Pasadena as one of the final shots of Young Sheldon.

For now, it seems like CBS' focus is on landing a satisfying ending for The Big Bang Theory prequel. Details for the Young Sheldon season 6 finale certainly seem like it's building toward that. But cameos from the Pasadena gang would be welcome at any point.
