Reese Witherspoon and her costar Jennifer Aniston were hard at work on Thursday as they filmed scenes for their popular Apple TV+ series The Morning Show.

The 46-year-old Big Little Lies actress and the 53-year-old Friends star were both spotted arriving at the show's set in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood before they got down to business.

Although they seemed to be in high spirits, the two adopted somber expressions as they filmed what appeared to be a tense two-person scene.

The Morning Show stars are currently in the process of filming the acclaimed drama's third season. They appear as the dueling anchors of a fictional nationwide morning news show in the series. 

Jennifer plays Alex Levy, who co-hosts The Morning Show with Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), who is fired in the first season while swept up in sexual misconduct claims.

He is replaced by the impulsive local news correspondent Bradley Jackson (Reese) after a number of her stories garner national attention.

Both actresses were seen arriving on set in what appeared to be their own clothes.

Reese wore an olive-colored waffle-print down coat over a nondescript black top and matching black pants.

She brightened up the look with brilliant white trainers, and she carried a white handbag with blue, green and red stripes running down the center.

She wore pointed black suede boots, which complement her long black overcoat with lustrous satin lapels.

The Horrible Bosses actress also had a tasseled gray scarf with her, and she carried a brown leather handbag.

Later, she and Reese were see in their costumes, though the nature of their characters meant that their costumes could have passed for their own clothes.

The Legally Blonde star beamed ear-to-ear as she descended a set of steps on set in a lovely royal blue coat, and she switched out her white handbag for a larger powder blue design.

She wore her long blond locks parted down the middle and cascading down her back, and she elevated her 5ft1in stature with a shining pair of silver heels.

She and Reese have been hard at work since The Morning Show returned to film its third season in August. 

The latest season will see Mad Men star Jon Hamm joining the series as a regular cast member.

His character, Paul Marks, is described as a a corporate titan who sets his sights on' the fictional network that airs The Morning Show.

On Wednesday, he and Jennifer were pictured on Brooklyn's Coney Island as they filmed more scenes for the series.

His casting is ironic, as Hamm filmed a comedic advertisement for Apple TV+ earlier in the year in which he angrily scrolled through the streamer's films and television shows while complaining that he wasn't among the bevy of famous faces.

He even stopped to watch a segment of The Morning Show.

'Jen and Reese; no Jon! Feels like a missed opportunity!' he shouted. It's not clear if his casting, which was announced in August, had been discussed prior to shooting the ad, which ultimately earned an Emmy nomination.

Nicole Beharie, who starred in the film Miss Juneteenth and the thriller series Sleepy Hollow, is also joining the show for its third season.

Although The Morning Show is fictional, it is inspired by Brian Stelter's 2013 non-fiction book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV.
