Julia Roberts looked relaxed as she cuddled up to husband Daniel Moder while watching their children play soccer in Malibu, California.

The 55-year-old Oscar-winning actress plopped down on Saturday in front of her 53-year-old cinematographer husband to catch all the action.

The Erin Brockovich star wore denim shorts and a short-sleeved blue blouse while sitting barefoot on the grass.

Julia had her hair down and accessorised with just sunglasses.

Danny wore a blue plaid shirt, shorts and a trucker's cap for the outdoor affair.

He also sported a thick beard that Julia backed into while reclining against her husband of 20 years. 

The soccer mom has been brought on board to play a PTA mom framed for drug possession by bitter rival parents. 

Julia will play Kelli Peters in a film that she also will produce based on true events, according to an article on Friday by Deadline.

The project currently being shopped will be based on the book that Kelli and co-writer Sam Rule wrote about the ordeal: 'I'll Get You!' Drugs, Lies, and the Terrorizing of a PTA Mom.

The book published earlier this month was described as 'the true story of an ordinary American woman who survived an evil conspiracy that turned her life upside down and shook her hometown to its core.'

Julia won an Oscar for her previous portrayal of real life Erin Brockovich in 2000.

She's currently been filming the upcoming drama Wonder based on the 2012 novel of the same name.

Daniel meanwhile was cinematographer for the pilot of Amazon's The Last Tycoon that was picked up in July for a series.
