How could a nerd show allow such an inappropriate mishap?

Okay, to be fair: in order to actually notice this mistake in The Big Bang Theory opening credits, you have to be meticulously looking for it, as if you were Sheldon himself. But if you were Sheldon himself, you'd never forgive the creators for making it once you've found it.

In the opening credits, we can see a timeline that scrolls across the bottom of the screen. However, there is a teenie tiny mistake in it: when it reaches the section of 90,000BC, one year reads 91,0009C. And yes, it should have been 91,000BC.

Interestingly, the way The Big Bang Theory slightly messed up the eras has gone unnoticed for around 10 years.

But if we turn off the Sheldon Cooper-level of being an annoying snob, the opening credits of the iconic sitcom is quite a masterpiece all by itself. Barenaked Ladies created and recorded the title song specifically for the show; and the credits are illustrated with 109 photos that break down the history of the universe.

Oh, but what die-hard fans of The Big Bang Theory would we be if we didn't concentrate on the little typo in the timeline that also illustrates the montage? Everything has to be perfect in a show like this, come on!

The Big Bang Theory aired from 2007 to 2019, lasting for 12 iconic seasons and garnering a huge base that later found solace in the show's successful spinoff, Young Sheldon, which is currently heading into season 7.
