The Big Bang Theory has established that George Cooper is due for a cheating scandal, but what if he never had the affair in question?

As always, Reddit comes to the rescue of Young Sheldon 's continuity. We've known for a while that the Coopers' marriage is supposed to crumble at some point when Sheldon himself walks in on his father and another woman mid-deed.

One fan suggested how the series can keep George's honor intact and still explore this storyline further. Imagine: Sheldon comes into his parents' bedroom and sees his dad with a woman who he doesn't recognize and, therefore, thinks that George is having an affair.

However, this lady could also be Mary in disguise – maybe with a wig and some sexy role-playing costume on.

As of now, Young Sheldon has given viewers a glimpse at Mary and George's potential affairs. Mary has been getting too comfy with Pastor Rob, and George has been spending an awful lot of time with Brenda, the Coopers' neighbor. Still, both of them may have crossed the emotional affair line, but neither of them ever got physical.

At the end of Young Sheldon season 6, Mary and George seemed fine and no longer fighting. So if season 7 decides to bring the much-feared plotline to life, the writers might as well have some fun with it.

Remember how Mary once wanted to change her hairstyle, and George suggested that she should go for Charlene Tilton's hairdo? Tilton is an actress and singer, who was quite popular in the '80s and '90s thanks to her role as Lucy Ewing in Dallas.

Let's say Mary and George are now working on their trust issues and trying to spice things up in the bedroom. Mary puts on a blonde wig (like Charlene Tilton), and Sheldon walks in when Mary is not facing the door, so he immediately concludes that his dad is cheating on his mom.

It'd be hilarious if the Young Sheldon showrunners resolved this storyline like that, wouldn't it?
