Reunited after 26 years! My Best Friend's Wedding co-stars Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney cuddled up

They last appeared on screen together in the 1997 hit movie My Best Friend’s Wedding.

And now 26 years later, Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney will grace the big screen alongside one another again.

'I'm enjoying this, give me a hug,' she said to one reveller at Soho House following the world premiere screening of August:Osage County - a chronicle of a dysfunctional family in Oklahoma.

The 55-year-old was in a jubilant mood following the thunderous standing ovation for the film following the picture's first public screening.

Julia provided the glamour in an embroidered red Dolce & Gabbana mini dress complete with bell sleeves which she paired with nude peep toe shoes and a clutch bag.

Her hair was pulled back in a simple upstyle and she flashed her trademark wide smile for fans and photographers.

Meanwhile, Dermot, sporting longer than usual hair, wore a dark suit with a purple shirt.

Lady in red: Julia impressed in a red Dolce & Gabbana dress as she attended the TIFF premiere of her new movie August: Osage County

Looking lovely: Julia looked smashing in her red dress as she posed with Ewan McGregor and Chris Cooper

The pair looked happy to be reunited as they posed on the red carpet.

Co-star Juliette Lewis was glamorous in a striking pale gown as she attended the special screening of the movie, while Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin looked all grown up in a bright corset dress and denim jacket.

The blonde actress plays the pot smoking daughter of Julia’s character in the movie.

Ewan McGregor was handsome in a black suit and white shirt as he joined his co-stars for the movie premiere.

In the film Julia and Meryl Streep go head-to-head as a mother and daughter who constantly clash.

Meryl plays recently widowed Violet Weston who survives on a diet of pills, booze and lacerating put-downs.

Her daughter Barbara tries to take charge of her mother's well-being but a tussle ensues of Shakespearean proportions with the two characters at each others throats while other relatives played by Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper, Juliette Lewis, Benedict Cumberbatch, Julianne Nicholson, Abigail Breslin and Margo Martindale get swatted when they try to intervene.

Warm welcome: Julia greeted the crowd at the film festival

Julia has one scene with Meryl where she tries to coax Violet into eating catfish for lunch.

'Eat the fxxxxxg catfish, bitch,' Julia's character screams several times.

The Daily Mail suggested to Julia that it would make a good slogan on a T-shirt, to which Julia instantly responded: 'I'll take a dozen.'

Both Julia and Meryl are possible best actress contenders in the forthcoming awards season.

Pretty woman: Julia radiated star power at the event

Stunning: Juliette Lewis wowed in a floor length pale dress as she walked the red carpet

All grown up: Abigail Breslin wore a brightly patterned corset dress and looked a world away from her Little Miss Sunshine character

Dapper: Ewan McGregor looked elegat in his dark suit

The film is based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Tracy Letts which made its Broadway debut in 2007 also ran in Chicago, New York and the National Theatre in London.

Meryl, the film's big star, wasn't able to attend the Toronto International Film Festival because she wasn't feeling well enough to travel from London, where she's rehearsing a film version of Stephen Sondheim's fairy-tale musical Into The Woods.

However Taylor Swift, who sang during the closing credits of the film  with her song One Chance, was at the party and happily greeted well-wishers.

All together: The whole cast gathered on stage ahead of the screening at TIFF

She told the Daily Mail she wanted to be more involved in movies and didn't rule out starring in one.

Taylor said: 'When the right one comes along I'll be there.'

The film is co-produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, and the trailer features the actresses sparring, with one piece of dinner table footage especially dramatic.

New movie: Julia plays Barbara Weston, daughter of  Violet, the cancer stricken sharp tongued family matriarch in August: Osage County

Work and play: Although she had a movie premiere on Monday, Abigail made time to do some shopping earlier in the day
