Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's Son Phinnaeus Walter Turns 18

Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts and her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, are proud parents of three children together: 18-year-old twins Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter, and 15-year-old son Henry Daniel. On November 28, their eldest son Phinnaeus Walter, nicknamed Finn, turned 18 years old.

Julia, now 55, and Danny, now 54, met on the set of The Mexican in 2000 and wed in 2002. Though Julia was initially hesitant to have children, Danny changed her mind. "Danny taught me that life is worth living fully and meant to be shared," Julia told People.

Their twins, Finn and Hazel, were born on November 28, 2004. From an early age, Finn showed an interest in following in his parents' Hollywood footsteps. At age 10, he joined his mom on the red carpet at the LA premiere of her film Mirror Mirror in 2012.

As Finn grew into a teen, he began accompanying Julia and Danny to more events. In 2016, the trio attended the Manchester United vs. Liverpool soccer match together in the U.K. They were all smiles as they bonded over their shared interest in sports.

In 2018, Finn graduated from high school in New Mexico, where the family has a ranch home. A source told Closer Weekly that Julia and Danny were emotional at their son's milestone moment. "Julia and Danny were incredibly proud of Finn. It's hard to believe their first babies are all grown up!" the insider said.

Though Finn largely stays out of the spotlight, he occasionally appears on Julia's Instagram. In May 2020, Julia posted a selfie with Finn and Hazel to celebrate National Twins Day, writing: "Pretty grateful for these two." The twins, who resemble their famous mom, had big smiles in the photo.

For Finn's 18th birthday this year, Julia posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. "18 years ago today, lightning struck and love at first sight became my new reality,” she wrote. The nostalgic post included throwback photos of Julia, Danny and an infant Finn at the hospital.

Julia and Danny have raised Finn and his siblings largely out of the public eye at their secluded New Mexico ranch. Their tight-knit family bond is evident, though, and Finn seems grounded despite his privileged upbringing as the child of Hollywood stars. While the next chapter of his life remains to be seen, Finn will surely continue making his loving parents proud.

Julia once said of motherhood: "It's heaven on earth to have a happy, healthy family." After 18 years of raising Finn, it's clear her dream of a cozy family life has come true. And with Danny by her side, Julia's adventure in parenthood is one she's happy to continue.
