ASAP Rocky took a dig at Travis Scott during a recent performance, referencing their past romantic involvement with Rihanna. The diss could be a publicity stunt to attract attention for both artists and their upcoming albums. There was a brief time in 2015 when Travis Scott and Rihanna were romantically involved, and now it appears to be coming back to haunt the rapper, after Rihanna's current partner ASAP Rocky appeared to take a dig at Travis during a recent performance.

While headlining the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami, Florida on Sunday, ASAP performed a new, unreleased track, which seemingly referenced Travis in the lyrics. "First you stole my flow, so I stole your bitch / Then you stole my style, I need at least like 10 percent," ASAP rapped to the crowd.

"All due disrespect, I hope you take offense," he continued. Travis was also performed at the festival that weekend, though he didn't reference ASAP in his set.

ASAP Rocky's Diss At Travis Could Be A Big Publicity Stunt

While ASAP didn't name Travis in the track, most of the Internet was convinced that's who he was referring to when footage of ASAP's performance made its way online.

"Naah Rocky sending shots at Trav," one person wrote via Twitter. "Bruh rocky & Travis beef reignited just before they both drop they albums," another person added, hinting that the diss could've been a way to attract publicity for both artists.

It's been five years since ASAP Rocky released an album, but he's apparently gearing up to debut new music later this year, though a release date hasn't been confirmed. But ASAP's willingness to share a new track while performing is a good sign that the album will be out sooner than later.

Earlier this year, ASAP confirmed he's open to collaborating with Rihanna. "I'm always down to collab with my partner," the rapper told GQ. "She's a phenomenal creative. Yeah, there's a lot of things we're going to collaborate on, from products for children."

Though she's been featured in his music video (and he's modeled for her Fenty brands), the parents have never released a song together. But that could change with ASAP's next album drop.

Travis Scott's new album is dropping within a matter of days. Utopia will be available to stream and purchase on July 28. It'll also be released alongside an accompanying film, Circus Maximus.

Travis And Rihanna Dated Briefly, But Went On To Have Kids With Other People

Rihanna has been romantically linked to a variety of people over the years, though she's been in a publicly confirmed relationship with ASAP Rocky since 2020. However, considering how briefly her rumored romance with Travis Scott was, Rocky's diss towards him may seem random (which could be another sign it's a publicity stunt, not real beef).

During their short-lived relationship, Travis nad Rihanna were spotted getting cozy while partying together on a few occasions.

"They are definitely together. They were dancing very close and didn't care who could see them," a source told Page Six at the time.

However, the romance appeared to fizzle out as quickly as it started. Rihanna and Travis have never publicly commented on what happened between them.

The pair have clearly moved on in recent years. Travis shares two children with Kylie Jenner, whom he broke up with last year. ASAP Rocky and Rihanna welcomed their first child, son RZA, last year and are currently expecting baby no. 2.
